I just got a new Ibanez Acoustic guitar for $250 at the Guitar Center. I’ve been playing with my brothers acoustic guitar from Mexico and this guitar sounds much brighter and alive than the Ibanez. My brothers guitar is about 15 years, I would think that its your average kind of guitar.

Do you think I have to wait for the guitar to mature to aquire a better sound, you know like when you buy new speakers and you have to wait about 20 hours to let them break in?

Do you think I should just return the guitar and try another brand? Its a nice looking guitar though. I can even hook it up to an amp and all.

I would really appreciate your input and expertise.
