well, if it has 300,000 miles and is covered in rust, then no.
if its brand new and not a scratch, its probably a good one.
but, as someone who’s worked in a music store for several years, i’d say that they’re pretty good overall. i’d definitely recommend picking one with a solid top, and make sure that its got a feel thats comfortable for you. ibanez tends to make a lot of guitars with slim neck, which isnt always preferable for acoustic guitars (you dont want the neck to be weak). i seem to remember their “AE” line being pretty good for the money.
also, you need to just pick for yourself. anytime anyone tells you what brand of guitar, strings, amps, picks, etc…. thats a totally subjective thing. its like me telling you what to eat for lunch. just because i like something doesnt make it “better” than something else, and you might **** what i really like.
pick up a few guitars, see how they feel, listen to them, and pick what feels right to you. and dont be afraid of making the “wrong” choice. its normal to pick up something that you like, and to have your tastes change over the course of a few years.
good luck man!
